WHY IS THIS PLACE ON OUR TRAIL?

Looking around it’s not obvious, but Orchard Lane is part of Slow Way Strmin, the safer-walking route that connects Stroud to Minchinhampton. Slow Ways Mincir (Minchinhampton to Cirencester) and Strcir (Stroud to Cirencester) also run along other parts of the trail. Slow Ways are building a national map of mostly traffic-free walking routes connecting our towns and major villages. If you want a bit more on why that’s important, please watch this video.

What questions, ideas, thoughts, feelings, images and sounds do you want to share with other people from being here? Your thoughts are important: this is a talking trail. We want to start conversations. Share them with us on social media tagging #minchCANtrail (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) or email us.

HOW DO I KEEP THIS PLACE SPECIAL?

Yes, it’s a regular lane and regular lanes don’t seem that special, but be careful of the wildflower verges and other bits of rewilding that the people living here are trying to do, and never litter. In fact if it’s safe to, be a womble.
