Hog!!!

We were very excited to see our first hedgehog of the year last night. We keep a big pile of garden rubbish and branches in the corner of our garden for them to hibernate and live in.

We leave them to it and only feed occasionally to try and ensure they don’t become too dependent on humans. We believe in nature (you should see the state of our little pond :) ).

If you can, why not make space in your garden for hedgehogs too? Remember they like to roam quite large distances for food, so a small (much smaller than any pets you may have) hole in any fences can also be life saving.
