THE SEASONS AND CLIMATE CHANGE
WHAT'S ALL THIS THEN?
We are Nature’s Racers. We love nature. We are working together to protect it and to encourage others to do the same. Currently we are looking at the seasons as a way of helping us to notice and appreciate the natural world around us. We are specifically looking at how the weather changes, what this means for wildlife, and what animals we start to see more (or less). The team are designing a weather station and we're going to gather data and document our observations on a regular basis.
We are a small team of people of all ages, but the children in the team are leading the way.
We meet every Wednesday at 4:30pm GMT (via Zoom during the pandemic - hopefully we'll meet face to face again soon!).At the moment we're all based in the UK, but a key part of this project will be to change that as we want to collaborate with schools abroad and others who can help us THINK GLOBALLY as we try to better understand the seasonal variances and impact of climate change around the world.
WANT TO JOIN US?
We're starting to line up collaborations with schools and organisations locally, nationally and internationally.
If you would like to learn more about this aspect of Nature's Racers and/or join in wha we're doing please use the contact form at the bottom of this page, or send an email to us at firstname.lastname@example.org
FROM THE TEAM...
Below are blog posts created by the children to share their artwork, ideas, observations and progress on building their weather station. Please check out their work, like and share comments to encourage them, and be sure to get in touch to join in too if you can!
